The World is Beckoning, a poem by H.A. Hanson

Once upon a sunny day
I climbed the highest branch.
I watched the world spread far and wide,
trees prance their windy dance.
The sun shone bright above the sky
that glowed with bright blue blaze.
The cornfields spread like a golden sea,
a waving sea of maize.
How great to see above the trees
that block the mortal view!
If you just climb above the line
you’ll see it’s vast and true!
What is? you ask, so vast and true?
Why, the world of course!
The world spreads out, and, beckoning,
calls you to heed its voice.
